Duterte joining Rizal Day rites in Davao
DAVAO CITY , Philippines — President Duterte will attend the 122nd anniversary of the martyrdom of national hero Dr. Jose Rizal in ceremonies here in Davao City today.
Presidential daughter Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte will join the President in the wreath-laying ceremonies at the Rizal Park along San Pedro street.
The theme for today’s activities is “Rizal 2018: Talino at Malasakit sa Isa’t-Isa, Pundasyon ng Isang Malaya at Maunlad na Bansa.”
Duterte distributed Certificates of Land Ownership Awards to over 6,000 farmer beneficiaries in Kidapawan, North Cotabato yesterday afternoon.
The President will be home in Davao City to spend the New Year with his family, especially his children and grandchildren.
Duterte is expected to give his New Year message to the Filipino people aside from his Rizal Day speech today.
