MANILA, Philippines — The reigning Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray might be included in the Philippine Postal Corp.’s (PHLPost) list of Living Legends – a list that refers to people who are still alive and are featured in stamps.

Luis Carlos, PHLPost assistant postmaster general for management support services, yesterday said he would propose to the stamp committee the idea of coming out with a stamp featuring Gray.

“The stamp committee has not convened yet so it would be included in their agenda in the next meeting. If I am not mistaken they would convene on the first or second week of January,” he said, adding that if PHLPost would give the idea a “go” it will seek the permission and approval of the Miss Universe organizers.

If granted, the 24-year-old Filipino-Australian beauty would be the sixth person to be included in their “Living Legends,” aside from those elected as the country’s presidents.

She would join the ranks of the three other Filipinas crowned Miss Universe –Miss Universe 1969 Gloria Diaz, Miss Universe 1973 Margarita Moran-Floirendo, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach; Megan Young, the country’s first Miss World 2013, and Sen. Emmanuel Pacquiao, the only eight-division world champion in the history of boxing.

“This would be in continuity of the Miss Universe stamps” that PHLPost issues whenever Miss Philippines wins the beauty title.
