LEGAZPI CITY, Albay, Philippines — A day after Ako Bicol Rep. Rodel Batocabe was killed, his colleague in the party-list group was robbed.
Rep. Alfredo Garbin Jr. was attending a press conference in Daraga, Albay yesterday when he learned that his house in Legazpi City had been ransacked.
Police said an estimated P500,000 in cash and valuables were taken.
“The suspect gained entry at the awning-type window of their comfort room located at the second floor,” the police report said.
Garbin refused to comment on the incident, saying he is still busy attending to the case of Batocabe.
Garbin joined his colleagues in the House of Representatives in announcing the P30-million bounty put up by congressmen to catch the killers of Batocabe and his police escort last Saturday. – With Emmanuel Tupas
