MANILA, Philippines — The Philippine National Police Academy will dismiss three cadets for an incident where junior cadets were made to perform oral sex.

Chief Superintendent Chiquito Malayo, PNPA director, announced the dismissal of the three cadets, according to a tweet report by News5.

“Please be informed that the second class cadet and two other third class cadets involved in the activity against two fourth class cadets are found guilty for the administrative charges filed against them in connection with the incident last October 6, 2018 for allegedly ordering fourth class cadets to perform sexual acts,” Malayo said.

In a press briefing Monday, Philippine National Police chief Director General Oscar Albayalde said the dismissal order will be signed within the day.

Last October, a third year cadet forced two first year cadets to perform oral sex on each other. Two other cadets watched as the freshmen performed the sexual act.

The controversy led to the sacking of Chief Superintendent Joseph Adnol as PNPA director for command responsibility.

“They can submit their motion for reconsideration with 48 hours upon receipt of the decision today,” Malayo said.

The PNPA is under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Public Safety College.

Last March, the PNPA was also embroiled in controversy when nine cadets beat up six members of the Maragtas Class of 2018. — Gaea Katreena Cabico
