LIST: Malls offer free parking, stay for residents stranded by ‘Rosita’
MANILA, Philippines — Several malls in Metro Manila and nationwide have announced that it is opening its doors to the public in anticipation of the possible effects of Typhoon “Rosita” (International name: Yutu).
Selected branches of SM Malls, Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Robinsons Mall announced that they are offering free parking spaces and shelter during the inclement weather.
These malls also advised the public to take precautionary measures amid the possible heavy rains and flooding.
“In times of calamities, our malls offer temporary respite and meeting point for families who may be unable to get to their place of residence,” SM Supermalls said.
The malls also said they are offering free mobile phone and gadget charging amid the expected onslaught of the typhoon.
“Due to possible effects of Typhoon #RositaPH, some areas in the metro may be affected by incoming rains and flood. Feel free to take comfort at these Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and use our restrooms, phone charging stations, and Wi-Fi to connect with your loved ones,” the mall management said.
The malls noted that the offer is applicable on October 30.
