MANILA, Philippines — Two bettors from Bicol and Samar won the Ultra Lotto 6/58 last Sunday night and shared the P1,180,622,508 jackpot – the highest in the history of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO).
The PCSO said that one winner bought the winning ticket from a lotto outlet at SM City Legazpi City in Albay while the other was purchased at an outlet along Limbauan street in Barangay H, Borongan, Eastern Samar.
The winners got the winning number combination 40-50-37-25-01-45 with a jackpot of over P1 billion.
Alexander Balutan, PCSO general manager, congratulated the two lucky winners and also the 100 bettors who won the consolation prize of P169,930 each for getting five digits of the six-number winning combination.
He said the winners should keep their winning tickets and place their signatures on the back of their tickets.
Balutan also called on the two winners, who have yet to claim their jackpot prize, to use their winnings wisely.
“Like I always say, having a huge sum of money, especially winning millions of pesos, can change your outlook in life, lifestyle and priorities. Mind your priorities. Don’t lose yourself,” Balutan advised.
“Keep something for yourself and for your family. Don’t become one-day millionaires. Spend your money wisely,” he added.
The winners, he said, should bring two valid identification cards, show the winning ticket to the prize claim section of the Accounting and Budget Department of the agency.
Arnel Casas, PCSO assistant general manager for gaming, said they are now waiting for the two winners to turn up and claim their prize at the PCSO head office on the 2nd floor of the Conservatory Building, 605 Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City.
