115 bettors come close again to winning lotto jackpot
MANILA, Philippines — The jackpot for the online lottery draw Ultra Lotto 6/58 is expected to reach P1.16 billion after no one won in the draw last Friday, the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) said yesterday.
PCSO general manager Alexander Balutan said the estimated jackpot for today’s draw would further increase after nobody got the Ultra Lotto six-digit winning number combination 28-14-54-50-17-27.
The last draw had a jackpot of P1,112,647,388, the highest in the history of Philippine lotto.
Balutan said 115 bettors each won a consolation prize of P187,780 after getting five numbers of the six-digit winning combination.
The Ultra Lotto 6/58 game is drawn every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday.
No one has won the 6/58 jackpot since February, when two bettors shared a jackpot of P331.9 million.
The previous record-high was the P741.2-million Grand Lotto 6/55 jackpot won in 2010.
A Filipino-American who was then on vacation in the Philippines won the P741-million jackpot of the Grand Lotto 6/55 after he placed his bet at a lotto outlet in a duty-free shopping center in Olongapo City, Zambales on Nov. 29, 2010.
“A day before the draw, this 60-year-old Filipino male residing in New York bought the ticket at Royal Duty Free Mall in Olongapo. He got the right combination of 11-16-42-47-31-37. He claimed his prize in December that year,” Balutan said.
Two lucky winners shared the P72.7-million jackpot of the Mega Lotto 6/45 draw held last Friday night, PCSO said.
The two winners got the winning cobination 23-26-12--10-36-30 with a jackpot of P72,786,594.
One winner bought the ticket from a lotto outlet in Project 6, Quezon City while the other winner bought the ticket from an outlet in Davao City, the PCSO said.
There were also 117 bettors who won the consolation prize of P18,910 each for getting five of the six-digit winning number combination.
