MANILA, Philippines — Presidential spokesperson Harry Roque on Monday said President Rodrigo Duterte expressed willingness to “speak to the nation."
He said the president is slated to address the nation on Tuesday.
"Well he announced in Davao that he wants to speak to the nation," Roque told reporters. "And if I'm not mistaken, it is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon," Roque said at a Palace press briefing.
Roque refused to discuss the topics that will be discussed by the president citing that it is slated to be held on Tuesday.
The presidential spokesman also said Duterte’s scheduled press briefing is based on schedule and may still change.
Roque said it will be held around 3 p.m. before the Cabinet meeting in Malacañan.
