MANILA, Philippines — Councilor Ricardo “Ardot” Parojinog, the brother of slain Ozamiz City Mayor Reynaldo Parojinog Sr. who was killed in an anti-drug operation, arrived last night in the country from Taiwan where he was arrested more than two months ago for  violation of immigration laws.?

Parojinog arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 in Pasay City at 9:55 p.m. on Philippine Airlines flight PR 897 from Taipei.

“A PNP team received Parojinog from his Taiwanese custodians at the Pingtung Country Detention Center where he served jail time prior to his deportation,” Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General General Oscar Albayald said in a news briefing.

Parojinog was sporting a long hair and was wearing a bulletproof vest when he was presented to journalists. He was whisked away to Camp Crame in Quezon City where he would be detained at the PNP Custodial Center pending decision from the court that issued the arrest warrants against him.

Parojinog is facing separate warrants of arrest issued by Ozamiz Regional Trial Court Branch 15 Judge Edmundo Pintac for murder, illegal possession of firearms and illegal possession of explosives. – With Rudy Santos
