Tropical Depression Domeng to bring rains over Visayas, Mindanao
MANILA, Philippines — Tropical depression Domeng will bring moderate to occassional heavy rains and thunderstorms over Eastern and Central Visayas, Caraga and Davao regions, state weather bureau PAGASA said Tuesday.
At 10 a.m., the weather disturbance was located 675 kilometers east of Guiuan, eastern Samar.
The tropical depression packs winds of 45 kph and gusts of up to 60 kph. It is forecasted to move north northwest at 14 kph.
"Domeng" will not make landfall but may bring occasional moderate to heavy rains over the western sections of Luzon and Visayas this weekend. It is expected to leave the Philippine area of responsibility by Sunday.
No tropical cyclone warning signals have been raised.
Meanwhile, PAGASA is also monitoring another low pressure area within the Philippine area of responsibility spotted 1,193 kilometers east of Luzon.
