Leni, Koko still enjoy good ratings — SWS
MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo and Senate President Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III maintained their “good” net satisfaction ratings in the first quarter of the year, according to the latest Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey.
Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez and Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno received “neutral” net satisfaction scores in the first three months of 2018.
The SWS poll, taken from March 23 to 27, used face-to-face interviews of 1,200 adults nationwide.
The survey found 57 percent satisfied and 23 percent dissatisfied with the performance of Robredo, resulting in a net satisfaction score of +34, classified by SWS as “good.”
Robredo’s score was eight points down from +42 (63 percent satisfied, 21 percent dissatisfied) in December 2017.
In Metro Manila, Robredo received net satisfaction rating of moderate +16 in March 2018, two points below the +15 last December.
It stayed good in balance Luzon at +38 in March 2018, down four points from +42 in December.
However, it fell by one grade from good to moderate in Mindanao at +26 in March 2018, down by 21 points from +47 in December.
It fell by one grade from very good to good in the Visayas at +47 in March 2018, down by eight points from +55 in the previous quarter.
By class, it was down by two grades from good +32 to neutral +3 among Class ABC.
Pimentel’s net satisfaction rating also fell by eight points, although it stayed in good territory at +41 (57 percent satisfied and 16 percent dissatisfied) from +49 (62 percent satisfied and 13 percent dissatisfied.)
His net satisfaction score rose by one grade from good to very good in Metro Manila at +51 in March, up by two points from +49 in December.
It stayed good in balance Luzon at +37 in the first quarter despite dropping by two points from +39 previously.
However, it fell by one point from very good to good in Mindanao at +37, down by 24 points from +61 in December.
It also fell by one point from very good to good in the Visayas at +46 in March 2018, down by 10 points from +56 in December.
Pimentel’s net score fell among Class E from very good +56 to good +33.
Alvarez received a record low net satisfaction rating of neutral +1 (31 percent satisfied and 29 percent dissatisfied) from moderate +14 in December.
The Speaker’s net satisfaction rating stayed neutral in Metro Manila at +8 in March, up three points from +5 in December.
However, it fell by one grade from moderate to neutral in Mindanao, -2 in March, down by 28 points from +26 in the previous quarter.
It also fell by one grade from moderate to neutral in the Visayas at +7 in March 2018, down by 12 points from +19.
It stayed neutral but had a double-digit drop in balance Luzon at -1 in March, lower by 10 points from +9 in December.
Among Class D or the masa, Alvarez’s net rating dropped from moderate +16 to neutral +2.
Sereno, who is on leave, received a new personal record low net satisfaction rating of neutral -1, from +6 in December 2017.
The chief magistrate’s net satisfaction rating stayed neutral but had a double-digit decline in balance Luzon at -2 in March, down by 11 points from +9 in December.
It fell by one point from neutral to poor in Mindanao at -22 in March, down by 27 points from +5 in December.
Her net satisfaction rating also fell by one grade from neutral to poor in Metro Manila at -10 in March 2018, lower by three points from -7 in December 2017.
It also fell by one grade from moderate to neutral in the Visayas, at -1 in March 2018, down by 13 points from +12 in December.
Sereno’s net satisfaction rating stayed neutral but had a double-digit drop in rural areas (down by 13 points from +9 to -4), among Class ABC (down by 17 points from +8 to -9) and among class D (down by 16 points from +7 to -9).
The SWS poll has sampling error margins of plus or minus three percentage points for national percentages and plus or minus six percentage points each for Metro Manila, balance Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.
