MANILA, Philippines — Motorists and transport operators may enjoy a number coding-free holidays after the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority lifted the scheme.
In its advisory on Sunday, the MMDA said the Unified Vehicular Volume Reduction Program would be suspended in all cities and municipalities in Metro Manila to ease the traffic on Dec. 25 to 26, 2017 and Jan. 1, 2018.

The traffic authority said the suspension of the number coding scheme includes the cities of Makati and Las Piñas.
Malacañang earlier declared December 25 and January 1 as regular holidays while it declared the suspension of government work on December 26.
