Paolo vows to show back tattoo

DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Just wait a bit until he loses some flab, and Vice Mayor Paolo Duterte promises that he will show the tattoo on his back.

Last week, Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV had accused the eldest son of President Duterte of sporting a tattoo that would prove membership in the Chinese triad, which is involved in the smuggling of illegal drugs.

“I want to taunt them until Trillanes falls from his flight. He is flying too high already with his arrogance. I will make them so mad until their heads crack,” Paolo Duterte said at a press conference here yesterday.

Asked by Trillanes at the Senate to show the tattoo on his back, the vice mayor had replied, “No way.”

“I even texted a friend of Baste not to post my tattoo on Facebook,” Paolo Duterte said, referring to his brother Sebastian.

The vice mayor said in jest that he must first exercise some more so his body fat would not be seen once he bared his tattoo.

Duterte also slammed Trillanes after the latter accused him of having more than P100 million in bank deposits.

He said Trillanes ran out of questions during last week’s Senate inquiry on the smuggling of P6.4 billion worth of shabu through the Port of Manila, so the senator instead used “recycled” accusations that were hurled against the Duterte family even during the May 2016 elections.

Saying that he is a graduate of banking and finance, Duterte said he could not be fooled by such accusations.

He urged reporters to check if the value of the watch he was wearing indeed cost P1.9 million as claimed by certain sectors.

Duterte told the media to sell the watch and if it could be sold for even P1.5 million, then the reporters could divide the money among themselves.
