MANILA, Philippines — Tropical Storm Jolina (international name: Pakhar) is about to exit the Philippine area of responsibility on Saturday as it moves in a northwest direction, according to PAGASA.

The state weather bureau lifted all storm warning signals in the country as the weather system continued to move away from the country.

However, some areas are still expected to experience rainy weather due to the effects of the tropical storm.

"Light to moderate with possible occasionally heavy rains due to thunderstorms will prevail over Ilocos region, and the province of Zambales, Bataan, and Metro Manila," PAGASA said.

In its 5 p.m. bulletin on Saturday, the state weather bureau said "Jolina" was estimated to be at 280 kilometers west of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte.

It packs maximum sustained winds of up to 80 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 95 kph.

"Jolina" is forecast to move northwest at 24 kph, and will be at 800 km west northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte on Sunday afternoon.
