NAIA closes runway for ‘emergency repair’
MANILA, Philippines — The Manila International Airport Authority on Thursday reported that it is closing the Ninoy Aquino International Airport runway for an emergency repair.
“NAIA international runway 06/24 has just been closed for emergency repair until 1 p.m. today,” the MIAA said in a statement.
Despite the runway closure, MIAA said the domestic runway will remain open for flight operations even for international flights.
It specified that international flights using up to A320 series type of aircraft can land and take-off from the domestic runway.
Some flights are still affected by the repair. The MIAA sought for public’s understanding amid the inconvenience caused by the airport runway closure.
“The MIAA management seeks the understanding of the public in the interest of safety,” it said.

Terminal 2: ?877-1109 local 2880 and 2882
Terminal 3: ?877-7888 local 8144
Terminal 4: ?877-1109 local 4226
