British envoy condoles with Pinoy killed in London attack
MANILA, Philippines - The British embassy in Manila yesterday condoled with the family of a Filipino-British man who was killed in the latest terror attack in London.
“My condolences to the family and friends of James McMullan, a Phil-Brit who was a victim of terrorism in London on June 3,” British Ambassador Asif Ahmad said on his Twitter account.
The 32-year-old McMullan, who hailed from Hackney, East London, was among the eight victims killed in the terrorist attack in London barely two weeks after the May 22 Manchester bombing.
The initial attack on June 3 took place on London Bridge, when terrorists ploughed into pedestrians before crashing the van directly outside a bar at upscale Borough High Street.
The second wave which killed McMullan, a web entrepreneur, was at Borough Market, seconds away from London Bridge. Three deranged men emerged from the van with knives, stabbing and slitting the throats of people on a Saturday night out. Police killed all three.
Reports said McMullan was last seen outside the Barrowboy and Banker pub in London Bridge that night.
A bankcard belonging to McMullan was found on a body at the scene.
