Horoscope

August 01, 2002

- Joyce Jillson -
The moon in Aquarius conjoins Neptune, creating an atmosphere where you come up with the perfect solution to problems. Brainstorm with family and colleagues, and a stagnant relationship or business can be turned around. Age differences disappear now, so seek out those who are younger and older for their perspectives. Be prepared for unforeseen delays.

ARIES (March 21-April 19).
Boundaries are changing. Make room for the addition of a new person or responsibility. Acknowledge your benefactors, and return favors promptly. New people want to befriend you, particularly younger people seeking direction.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20).
Your attractiveness is at an all-time high and your charms can be used to improve your life. At work, reserve judgment and give someone a fair chance. Explore all options in real estate and possible relocation.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21).
Employ the help of others to move forward in a dynamic way; the impact on your career will be great. Start your masterpiece, whatever your art may be. Friends are gossipy, but you choose not to participate and will be thankful later.

CANCER (June 22-July 22).
You gain valuable experience while helping others. Relatives are thinking of you. If a loved one upsets you, let him or her know before things get out of hand. Tonight, listening to your instincts leads you to the right place at the right time.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22).
Don't take on a burden that is not rightfully yours or get drawn into a drama unnecessarily. The mail brings word from a former flame or friend. You can keep a relationship exciting with a little effort. Tonight, your sex appeal is irrefutable.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (August 1).
You've harbored a secret for too long. This summer, you get the ideal opportunity to unburden yourself without suffering any consequences. The relief unleashes an avalanche of creativity. Major breakthroughs come at work and in education. december brings breath-taking romance. In September, you'll hear great news about a legal matter. Your lucky numbers are: 5, 10, 16, 22 and 26.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22).
With extra effort, you could make a small fortune. Look for a project or occupation that utilizes all of your skills. Ease a touchy situation this evening with humor. A love prospect respects your independent nature from afar.

LIBRA (Sept.23-Oct.23).
Love is better if you concentrate on adventure instead of putting all of your attention toward how the other person feels about you. You'll meet interesting, eccentric people while travelling short distances. You're respected by others.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21).
Mystery and complexity surrounds you. People feel flattered when you confide in them. Time constraints provide discipline. Your sense of direction and timing gets you where you want to be at the last minute.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21).
Instead of scattering efforts, get organized. You set an example for your family. Concentrate on improving your current relationships rather than seeking new ones. Exercise stress away. Encourage a child's athletic, creative efforts.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan 19).
Working from home is the start of something big. A drain on resources finally disappears. Your health improves with a new diet and exercise program. You could receive long-anticipated news. Refunds are issued promptly.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18).
A loved one takes a load off your shoulders. Time spent outdoors is revitalizing. You can expand your realm of influence by attending lectures. Married couples lend money to needy relatives. Car troubles cause delays.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20).
Your spirit of enterprise will inspire many around you. Painting, writing or sculpting will release tension and increase creativity. A love affair is quickly becoming serious, and your friends can't believe whom you've chosen!

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS:
"Will I get a promotion? For the past six years, I've been angling to get a job as supervisor. I'm a Scorpio born Oct. 29, 1966, and every time a situation opens up, management says someone else has more seniority. Am I being put off? Help!"

I venture to say that you are probably performing some of those supervisorial duties already. In the past, you may have been passed over because you weren't considered one of the crowd. Since you are somewhat of a loner preferring your family to any after-work socializing, it will be helpful if neverthless you do something with your crew to let them know you are one of the guys. A lucky break comes when you confide in a much older co-worker and ask for advice. Let this person know you admire her skill, and she may take you under their wing. At the same time, your chart shows an upgrade at work in early September and again in mid-November. Doing some extra work, or volunteering to help the company during a mini-crisis this summer will alert management to your potential.

CELEBRITY PROFILES:
Chris O'Donnell could have another daughter this year! This young Cancer understands that what makes Cancer men do well in their career is a home life that comes first. His star is on the rise, and we'll see the boyish Robin become a huge leading man in the future. Growing up in front of the camera is no easy task for a Cancer, but O'Donnell's Mars in dramatic Leo makes him a natural at making the most of criticism.
