MANILA, Philippines - Beauty consultants and carpenters are among the most sought-after workers recorded at PhilJobNet, the internet-based job and applicant matching system of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
In a report, DOLE said 7,959 new active vacancies in the local employment industry were documented by PhilJobNet and the top 20 slots included beauty consultants and finishing carpenters.
In a report to Labor Secretary Silvestre Bello III, Bureau of Local Employment director Dominique Tutay said there are 610 vacancies for beauty consultants and 189 for carpenters.
Others in the top 20 list are call center agents, 1,698; staff nurses, 899; salesmen, 402; customer service assistant, 342; food servers, 339; market salespersons, 330; bank tellers, 300 and real estate salespersons, 300.
Also included in the top 20 are promo salespersons, 270; sales clerks, 265; delivery drivers, 265; baggers, 230; product machine operators, 214; stall sales persons, 200; merchandisers, 195 and service crew, 187.
DOLE’s job matching portal has 1,700 employers with job posts during weekly monitoring.
As a policy, a jobseeker at least 15 years old may register as an applicant at the PhilJobNet. Employers can also use the system to invite registered applicants for job interview on a desired date.
