Cloudy skies, rain for Philippines
MANILA, Philippines - Partly cloudy skies will prevail over the entire archipelago, including Metro Manila, until Friday next week, the state weather bureau said yesterday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) also noted that there will be chances of isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, mostly in the afternoon or evening, due to the ridge of high-pressure area and easterlies.
PAGASA said a low-pressure area east of Mindanao is likely to develop into a tropical cyclone and is estimated to enter the Philippine area of responsibility by Tuesday or Wednesday.
However, the weather bureau said in its Weekly Weather Outlook Bulletin that “this low-pressure area will not affect any part of the country until Friday.”
Metro Manila and the rest of the country yesterday experienced partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, light to moderate winds blowing from the southeast to south prevailed over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the east over Mindanao.
