MANILA, Philippines — The Manila Police District Traffic Enforcement Unit on Friday released a list of road closures for the procession of the Black Nazarene replica on January 7.
They also released the route the procession will take, as well as a list of alternative routes.
Below is the route for the Black Nazarene procession which will span 2.29 kilometers:
- Plaza Miranda
- left Quezon Blvd.
- left to G. Puyat
- right to Evangelista St.
- right to Recto Ave.
- right to Loyola St.
- right to Bilibid Viejo thru Puyat
- left to Guzman St.
- right to Hidalgo St.
- left to Barbosa St.
- right to Globo de Oro
- right again to Palanca St.
- turn right to Villalobos St. thru Plaza Miranda
Several roads will be closed off to traffic starting 1 p.m. onwards.
- Southbound lane of Quezon Blvd. (Quiapo), from A. Mendoza/Fugoso to Plaza Miranda
- Eastbound lane of CM Recto Ave. from Rizal Ave. to SH Loyola St.
- Westbound lane of España Boulevard from P. Campa to Lerma St.
The MPD-TEU also provided a list of alternate routes.
- All vehicles coming from España Blvd. intending to proceed to Roxas Blvd./South Pier Zone/Taft Ave. shall turn right to P. Campa, straight to Fugoso St., to point of destination
- All vehicles intending to utilize Quezon Blvd. coming from A. Mendoza St. shall turn right to Fugoso, left to Rizal Ave. to point of destination.
- All vehicles utilizing eastbound lane of CM Recto coming from Divisoria shall turn right to Rizal Avenue to point of destination.
- All vehicles utilizing S.H Loyola St., coming from Balic-Balic area going to Quiapo shall turn right to CM Recto Avenue to point of destination.
