Cesar Montano sworn in as Tourism Promotions Board head

MANILA, Philippines — Actor Cesar Montano is officially the new chief operating officer of the Tourism Promotions Board of the Tourism department after he was sworn in on Tuesday afternoon.
Tourism chief Wanda Tulfo-Teo administered Montano’s oath as head of the marketing arm of the Department of Tourism (DOT).
Montano was appointed by President Rodrigo Duterte early December and was later on received by the agency.
He is expected to manage the implementation of integrated domestic and international promotions and marketing program of the DOT.

This is the first time Montano will be serving in government. Aside from being an actor, he is a film producer and previously ran for senator in 2007.
Montano joined the Team Unity ticket of former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. — Rosette Adel
