Gas prices up today

MANILA, Philippines - Gasoline prices were raised today, reflecting the uptrend in international markets ahead of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries’ meeting at the end of the month.

There will be no price movements on diesel and kerosene prices, oil firms said yesterday.

Petron Corp. said it will implement a fuel price hike of P0.10 per liter on gasoline effective 6 a.m.

In another text advisory, SeaOil Philippines Inc. said the same amount will be raised on gasoline starting 12:01 a.m.

Meanwhile, Flying V’s price hike will also take effect at 12:01 a.m.

Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. has yet to make an announcement as of press time but it is expected to implement similar price adjustments.

In separate text advisories, Eastern Petroleum Corp., Phoenix Petroleum Philippines and PTT Philippines announced a price increase of P0.10 per liter on gasoline effective 6 a.m.
