Pacquiao better than Rocky – Stallone

LOS ANGELES – Sylvester Stallone, the greatest boxer in the movies, paid Manny Pacquiao a visit at the Wild Card Gym Saturday.

It’s not the first time that Stallone, who starred in the “Rocky” movie series, had come to watch Pacquiao train. But each visit is regarded as special.

“He’s a long-time friend. He always visits me in training,” said Pacquiao.

Stallone, now 70, arrived at the gym as Pacquiao sparred with Mexican Rey Beltran. It was supposed to be a closed-door session.

After the sparring session, Pacquiao came up to Stallone, and they posed for pictures.

Stallone took videos of Pacquiao on his mobile phone as the 37-year-old boxer sparred with Beltran like it was an actual fight.

The Hollywood superstar spoke briefly to ABS-CBN and said Pacquiao just never fails to amaze him.

“He’s the best fighter in the last 60 or 70 years. Period. For real. He’s better than Rocky Balboa,” added Stallone, a regular ringside fixture in Pacquiao fights.

“He’s the best fighter ever,” he said.

Move over Rocky.
