MANILA, Philippines - Oil companies raised gasoline prices but reduced diesel and kerosene prices effective today to reflect movements in the international petroleum market.
Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. has implemented an increase of P0.20 per liter on gasoline and a reduction of P0.10 per liter on diesel and of P0.15 per liter on kerosene. These took effect at 6 a.m. today.
SeaOil Philippines Inc., Flying V, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, PTT Philippines, Eastern Petroleum Corp. and UniOil Petroleum Philippines Inc. announced similar price adjustments.
Petron Corp. was yet to make an announcement as of press time, but the oil firm was expected to implement similar adjustments.
The adjustment in gasoline is the seventh consecutive week of price increase, while the price cut on diesel and kerosene ended four consecutive weeks of price hikes.
