MANILA, Philippines -- Fairer weather will be experienced in the Philippines with Typhoon Lawin out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

Cloudy skies and light to moderate rain will still be experienced in the Ilocos and Davao regions, as well as in the provinces of Benguet, Zambales, Bataan, Occidental Mindoro and Palawan. Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds will be blowing from the southwest to south over Luzon, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough. Light to moderate winds will be blowing over Mindanao coming from the east to the southeast, and from the southeast to south over the rest of the archipelago with slight to moderate seas.

Typhoon Lawin left the Philippine Area of Responsibility late Thursday night, according to PAGASA.

All tropical storm warnings are now lifted as Lawin moves north-northwest at 19 kph. As of 4 a.m. Friday, Typhoon Lawin was 585 km west of Basco, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 120 kph and gustiness of 150 kph.
