MANILA, Philippines — Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte vowed that he will open his BPI bank account record to prove that he does not have P211 million, contrary to the allegations of Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV.
According to a report from CNN Philippines, Duterte said that expects Trillanes to be present at BPI Julia Vargas when he opens his account records.
Trillanes earlier claimed that Duterte did not declare P211 million in his 2014 Statement of Assets and Liabilities as mandated by law.
Duterte stressed that he did not accept "dirty money" but admitted that his bank account may have less than P211 million as he was confused with the zeroes.
