Duterte overtakes Poe in Pulse Asia poll
MANILA, Philippines – Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte took the lead in the latest Pulse Asia presidential survey, overtaking Sen. Grace Poe.
In the survey commissioned by ABS-CBN Corp., Duterte scored 30 percent while Poe ranked second with 25 percent.
Vice President Jejomar Binay and former Interior Secretary Manuel "Mar" Roxas II were statistically tied with 20 percent and 19 percent, respectively.
Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago remained at the fifth spot with 2 percent.
Meanwhile, Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. took the lead in the vice presidential survey with 28 percent.
Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo and Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero were statistically tied at second place with 22 percent and 21 percent, respectively.
Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano ranked fourth with 15 percent followed by Sen. Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV and Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan II with 5 percent and 4 percent, respectively.
The Pulse Asia survey was conducted from March 29 to April 3 among 4,000 people nationwide with a margin error of +/- 1.5 percent.
Duterte and Marcos also topped the latest presidential and vice presidential survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations.
