Poe, Binay virtually tied for top spot in Pulse presidential survey

MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Grace Poe and Vice President Jejomar Binay shared the lead in the latest Pulse Asia presidential survey released on Friday.

Poe, an independent candidate, and Binay of the United Nationalist Alliance registered virtually the same overall voter preference with 26 percent and 25 percent, respectively, Pulse Asia said.

Davao Mayor Rodrigo Duterte and former Interior Secretary Mar Roxas are tied at the third spot with 21 percent.

Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago garnered the lowest score with 3 percent.

Meanwhile, Sen. Francis Escudero and Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. are also statistically tied for first place in the vice presidential survey. Escudero scored 29 percent while Marcos scored 26 percent.

Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo ranked third with 19 percent followed by Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano with 12 percent.

Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV scored 6 percent while Sen. Gringo Honasan got a rating of 4 percent.

The survey was conducted from February 15 to 20 using face-to-face interviews.
