Comelec holds nationwide mock elections
MANILA, Philippines - The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Saturday held simulated elections in 20 key locations across the country.
The simulation of election procedures aims to refine the process at the polling and canvassing centers before the May 9 polls.
Comelec Chairman Andres Bautista on Saturday morning went to H. Atienza Elementary School in Malate, Manila to witness and assist in the preparations for the mock elections.

Bautista then headed to Robinsons Ermita also in Malate, Manila to observe voting procedure in a mall.
Several mock voters especially at the mall said the process is easier and faster compared before.
The voting started as early as 7 a.m. and was scheduled to end at 12 p.m.
Saturday's mock elections came after the Comelec fixed glitches in the preparations of the poll body for the May 9 elections.
The camp of presidential aspirant Sen. Grace Poe and other candidates have expressed concerned over the glitches in the voting system.
