5 civil service exams to be administered next year
MANILA, Philippines - Five types of civil service eligibility examinations will be given next year.
The tests include Fire Officer Examination (FOE) and Penology Officer Examination (POE) on March 13; Career Service Examination, Paper-and-Pencil Test (CSE-PPT) for Professional and Sub-Professional levels on April 17 and Oct. 23; and CSE for Foreign Service Officer (CSE-FSO) on Aug. 7.
Tests for Professional and Sub-Professional levels are open to Filipino citizens, regardless of educational attainment, who are at least 18 years old at the time of filing of application, and have not taken the same level of examination in less than three months.
For the CSE-PPT scheduled on April 17, 2016, applicants must not have taken the same level of the examination from Jan. 17, 2016 to April 16, 2016, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) said.
The application period for the April 17, 2016 CSE-PPT started on Nov. 9, 2015 and will end on Feb. 25 next year.
Applications must be filed personally at the CSC Regional Office (CSCRO) or at any CSC Field Office where the applicant intends to take the test.
Career service examinations would result in the conferment of either Professional or Sub-Professional eligibility appropriate for appointment to corresponding permanent positions in the government, the CSC said.
The simultaneous conduct on March 13, 2016 of FOE and POE is in collaboration with the Bureau of Fire Protection and the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
The CSC will administer the CSE-FSO on Aug. 7, 2016 in coordination with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA).
The CSE-FSO is both an eligibility examination for government service and a qualifying test for the five-part Foreign Service Officer Examination.
