Duterte tops Metro Manila presidential survey
MANILA, Philippines - Davao City Mayor Rodrigo Duterte topped the latest presidential preference poll conducted by Pulse Asia among residents of Metro Manila.
Duterte, who recently decided to run for president, scored 34 percent in the November survey, an increase from his September rating of 27 percent.
Sen. Grace Poe ranked second with 26 percent while Vice President Jejomar Binay scored 22 percent.
Liberal Party standard bearer Manuel "Mar" Roxas II ranked fourth with 11 percent while Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago got a rating of 7 percent.
Poe's running mate, Sen. Francis "Chiz" Escudero, topped the vice presidential poll with 32 percent followed by Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. with 24 percent.
Sen. Alan Peter Cayetano scored 20 percent while Camarines Sur Rep. Maria Leonor "Leni" Robredo got 10 percent.
Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan II and Sen. Antonio Trillanes IV scored 8 percent and 4 percent, respectively, in the vice presidential survey.
The survey was conducted from November 11 to 12 among 300 respondents from Metro Manila. It has a margin error of ± 5.7.
