MANILA, Philippines - Jason Ivler on Tuesday was found guilty of murder and was sentenced to reclusion perpetua or 40 years of imprisonment.

Ivler was accused of killing Renato Victor Ebarle Jr., a son of a former Palace official, during a traffic altercation in 2009.

According to a report, Judge Luisito Cortez of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 84 sentenced Ivler.

In 2013, the mother of Ivler, Marlene Aguilar-Pollard, was charged with obstruction of justice for allegedly preventing authorities from arresting her son.
