MANILA, Philippines – The plane of Leung Chun-Ying, chief executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, landed at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport late Monday night prior to the Asia Pacific Economic Leaders' Meeting this week.

Leung, also known as CY Leung, is among the six early birds attending the APEC on November 18 and 19.

Leung, the third chief executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, arrived a day earlier than his scheduled dialogue on trade entitled, “What is the Next Horizon for Asia Pacific Trade?”

He is also slated to attend another summit session where China President Xi Jinping will deliver a speech.

Leung assumed office on July 1, 2012. While he attends the APEC, Chief Secretary Carrie Lam will serve as the chief executive.
