MANILA, Philippines - Isabela Gov. Faustino Dy III and top provincial officials have endorsed the candidacy of Liberal Party standard bearer Manuel Roxas II.
Dy expressed his support during the visit of Roxas to Isabela last week to distribute relief goods to victims of Typhoon Lando.
“Personally, I’ll be with him until the end,” Dy said when asked about his extent of support to Roxas.
Dy said he decided to endorse Roxas after Isabela experienced progress and received projects under the Aquino administration.
Dy described Roxas as “a 24/7 guy” when it comes to dealing with various concerns of local governments, especially in disaster preparedness and management.
“He’s an action man. He works quietly but with results,” he said.
Isabela has over 1.5 million voters, according recent estimates.
During his visit, Roxas praised the strong cooperative movement in the province and said that he can help protect the country from some of the effects of the integration of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations next year.
