'Lando' exits PAR

MANILA, Philippines - Tropical cyclone Lando, which weakened into a low-pressure area, has already left the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR), weather bureau PAGASA said.
The typhoon left at around 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
"This weather system has been already outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and no longer have an effect on any part of the country," PAGASA noted.
At 10 a.m., the cyclone was located 1,030 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes.
"Lando" made a landfall over Aurora-Isabela on Sunday last week as a typhoon, bringing heavy rains and strong winds in almost all of Luzon.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said the damage caused by Lando to agriculture and infrastructure in Central and Northern Luzon has exceeded P9 billion.
The death toll from typhoon Lando has reached 46 while 82 were reported injured and five others still missing.
Several areas have been placed under a state of calamity following widespread flooding and devastation from Typhoon Lando. These include Isabela and Aurora provinces; Ilagan City in Isabela; Arayat in Pampanga; Supon, Ilocos Sur; Calumpit, Bulacan; Infanta and General Nakar in Quezon; Camiling and Ramos in Tarlac.
