MANILA, Philippines – The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said that it is willing to help in manning the traffic along North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) during the anticipated traffic for Eat Bulaga’s "AlDub" event at the Philippine Arena, Bocaue, Bulacan on Saturday.

As NLEX is expected to have an influx of vehicles on Saturday, MMDA officer-in-charge (OIC) Emerson Carlos said that the agency is willing to send a team of traffic enforcers to assist the Philippine National Police (PNP) in Bulacan, if they need help in traffic management along NLEX on Saturday.

"Kung hihingi ng tulong 'yung Bulacan PNP kasi as of now wala pang request pumupunta lang kami doon kapag may request,” Carlos said on Wednesday.

On Monday, the Philippine Arena posted on its Facebook page that 55,000 tickets, representing the entire seating capacity of the multi-purpose indoor arena, were sold out for the noontime show’s fan day event this Saturday.

Carlos then advised the motorist that if the figures are factual, they shall expect heavy flow of traffic along NLEX heading toward the Philippine Arena as there are no buses from Metro Manila directly transporting people to the venue.

The MMDA-OIC already ordered MMDA’s Traffic Discipline Office head, lawyer Crisanto Saruca to be ready for the deployment of their traffic enforcers if called.

Carlos recalled that during previous events of the Iglesia ni Cristo, MMDA deployed additional men along Balintawak and Mindanao Avenue in Quezon City to both entry and exit points in NLEX. He said they send they usually send a 200-man team to help in traffic management.
