MANILA, Philippines - Malacañang on Sunday suspended work in government offices on Monday, October 19, in Regions 1, 2, 3 and Cordillera Administrative Region, due to the effects of Typhoon Lando (international name Koppu).
Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa, Jr. suspended work in the typhoon-affected areas following the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, according to a statement released to the media.
However, government personnel involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster and emergency response as well as other vital services are excluded from the suspension, Malacañang said.
