MANILA, Philippines - Sen. Miriam Defensor Santiago on Thursday confirmed that Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. will be her running mate in the 2016 national elections.
"I think we mutually chose each other," Santiago said.
Marcos submitted his certificate of candidacy for vice president before the Commission on Elections last Tuesday.
The vice presidential aspirant himself has hinted of his teamup with Santiago by posting a photo of the two of them on his official Twitter account.
