Señeres to run with complete Senate slate
MANILA, Philippines - OFW Family Club party-list Rep. Roy Señeres announced yesterday his plan to run for president in the 2016 elections with a complete slate.
Señeres, former ambassador and chairman of the National Labor Relations Commission, said he has a vice presidential bet and a full 12-member senatorial slate but he will disclose their names in the coming days.
He said his campaign will be anchored on helping overseas Filipino workers and their families, and workers who are employed through contractualization and job orders.
“I have the right message. Elect me as president and the contractuals who are laid off would be made permanent. That’s the law, there’s no need for a new legislation because the law has always been there,” Señeres said.
“Elect me as president and you will become permanent until you reach the age of 65. Don’t be surprised, my dear friends, if one day you would be shopping with senior citizens as sales ladies because they cannot be terminated without just cause,” he said.
