The MMDA chief also apologized to Agarao and the Liberal Party (LP), particularly its standard bearer Manuel "Mar" Roxas II, citing that he had no control of the situation.

Tolentino told reporters he wants his name removed from the LP's senatorial lineup.

Meanwhile, Gabriela Womens' Party called for the resignation of Tolentino as there is "no place for raunchy macho officials" in the government.

The twerking incident of the said girls in scantily clad outfits earned public outrage, pushing the administration party to investigate the incident.
