Patricia Lourdes Viray - Philstar.com

MANILA, Philippines — Typhoon "Jenny" has left the Philippine area of responsibility early Tuesday but will continue to enhance the southwest monsoon or "habagat," weather bureau PAGASA said.

The typhoon left at around 5:30 a.m. and is moving toward southeast China.

At 4 a.m., "Jenny" was located 425 kilometers north-northwest of Itbayat, Batanes with maximum sustained winds of 130 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 160 kph. It is likely to move west-northwest at 19 kph.

According to the weather bureau, the "habagat" will continue to weaken as the typhoon moves away.

All public storm warning signals in the country have been lifted.

The regions of Ilocos, Cordillera, Cagayan Valley, Central Luzon, Metro Manila, Calabarzon and the provinces of Mindoro and Palawan will experience light to moderate rains brought by the southwest monsoon.

Moderate to strong winds blowing from the southwest to south will be experienced over the entire country, PAGASA added.
