MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Jejomar Binay on Monday revealed that he is considering three vice presidential aspirants for his running mate in the 2016 national elections.

In an interview with ABS-CBN's Umagang Kay Ganda, Binay said that Sen. Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. and Sen. Gregorio "Gringo" Honasan II are among his top choices for vice president.

Binay refused to identify his third choice as running mate for the upcoming elections.

"'Pag sinabi ko 'yung pangatlo 'yung mga nag-aasam-asam pa, magagalit pa sa akin," Binay said.

United Nationalist Alliance Secretary General JV Bautista earlier said that Binay's three prospective running mates have also expressed their intent to seek the presidency.

The opposition party is set to announce Binay's running mate and complete senatorial slate by the last week of September.
