MANILA, Philippines - The Office of the Ombudsman is seeking a reversal of the Supreme Court (SC) decision granting Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile a bill of particulars, aside from asking for reconsideration of the decision to allow him to post bail.
A bill of particulars generally refers to the written itemization or details of a claim or charge. Thus, a general claim will have to be broken down or itemized into its details to prevent a surprise during trial and to ensure a fair trial.
In its motion for partial reconsideration, the ombudsman said it is not true that the criminal charge filed against Enrile is vague.
