Binay on DAP probe vs PNoy: All drama, nothing will happen
MANILA, Philippines - Vice President Jejomar Binay on Wednesday expressed his doubt on the investigation that the Office of the Ombudsman has started against President Benigno Aquino III and Budget Secretary "Butch" Abad in connection to the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP).
"Drama, drama, drama! Walang mangyayari. Kung totoo yan sinuspinde na agad," Binay told members of the press during an ambush interview.
Binay said that the "drama" was being brought up as early as now so as to kill the issue against Aquino in time for the election season.

The vice president based his comment on past experiences, particularly on the corruption allegations against him.
According to a report from ABS-CBN News, Binay refused to comment if he would pursue an investigation against Aquino if ever he wins the presidency.
Malacañang earlier reminded the Office of the Ombudsman that Aquino is immune from lawsuit. However, the president cannot evade investigation from the Ombudsman.
On the other hand, Binay is facing another plunder case filed by lawyer Renato Bondal in connection to the joint venture between the University of Makati and STI College.
Charges of malversation of public funds have also been filed against Makati Rep. Abigail Binay and her brother, suspended Makati Mayor Jejomar Erwin "Junjun" Binay Jr.
