MANILA, Philippines – Sen. Nancy Binay on Tuesday afternoon said she is looking forward to working with Sen. Juan Ponce Enrile after his petition to post bail was granted by the Supreme Court (SC).

The senator took to Twitter to air her thoughts on Enrile’s possible return to the Senate.

“I look forward to working w/ JPE in the minority as our most senior member, particularly in scrutinizing the 2016 budget & fiscalizing the administration,” Binay said.

Binay earlier said she is happy that the SC allowed Enrile to post bail. Sen. Tito Sotto III also said he is glad for Enrile's return.

The Supreme Court on Tuesday confirmed that they are allowing Enrile to post bail  for P1 million subject to the terms and conditions to be specified by the Court in its Order which will be forthcoming.

The Senate likewise allowed him to get back to work if he is granted bail.

The 91-year-old senator Enrile is currently under "hospital arrest" at the Philippine National Police General Hospital at Camp Crame, Quezon City for charges of plunder and graft after being involved in the pork barrel scam.
