PNP chief assigns 7 police execs to new posts

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Ricardo Marquez designated seven senior police officials to new posts in the latest round of reorganization of key positions.

The move, which took effect on August 11, was approved by the National Police Commission on the recommendation of the PNP Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board.

Named to new posts were:

- Police Deputy Director General Marcelo Garbo Jr. as deputy chief PNP for administration;

- Police Deputy Director General Danilo Constantino as deputy chief PNP for aperations;

- Police Director Francisco Uyami Jr. as acting chief of the Directorial Staff;

- Police Director Benjamin Magalong as officer-in-charge, Directorate for Investigation and Detective Management;

- Police Director Francisco Don Montenegro to Office of the Chief, PNP;

- Police Chief Superintendent Victor Deona as officer-in-charge, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group; and

- Police Chief Superintendent Rudy Lacadin as officer-in-charge, Police Regional Office 3.
