2 convicted OFWs pardoned in Oman

MANILA, Philippines - Two overseas Filipino workers in Oman convicted and imprisoned for criminal offenses have been granted royal pardon.

The Philippine embassy in Muscat is coordinating with Omani authorities for their early repatriation, the Department of Foreign Affairs said yesterday.

Royal pardon was granted to a number of convicted prisoners in commemoration of Eid’l Fitr Al Mubarak, according to Philippine Ambassador to Muscat Narciso Castañeda.
