Pinoy killed in Libya bombing attack

The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines - The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) confirmed yesterday that a Filipino was killed during a bombing attack in Zawiya, Libya recently.

DFA spokesman Charles Jose made the confirmation, but did not provide additional details, saying an embassy report did not indicate the man’s profession.

Eight Filipinos have been captured by militants in several kidnapping incidents in Libya since January.

The country is in a state of civil war.
