MANILA, Philippines - Around 785 police pensioners will soon get their pension differentials as the Philippine National Police (PNP) has started crediting to the Integrated National Police (INP) ATM pension accounts some P900 million fund.
The PNP, through the Land Bank of the Philippines, the pension differentials from 1991 to 2006 will be credited to the 785 verified and certified by Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) as eligible INP pensioners.
Pensioners who will receive said pension differentials are retirees, transferees and INP survivors who had rendered service before the enactment of Republic Act 6975 or the PNP law.
The amount required to implement the pension differentials of the 785 eligible INP pensioners will be charged against the supplemental budget released by Department of Budget and Management authorized under Republic Act 10633 or the General Appropriations Act of 2014.
However, Chief Superintendent Virgil Bombita, Director of the PNP Retirement and Benefits Administration Service (PRBS), said that out of the 785 INP pensioners, there are 26 deleted pensioners while 25 pensioners do not have PNP ATM pension accounts.
Bombita said that these pensioners must coordinate with the PRBS on how to claim their pension differentials.
