OFW mother of papal Mass volunteer who died in Tacloban arrives

MANILA, Philippines - The overseas Filipino worker mother of the papal Mass volunteer who died in Tacloban City arrived at the country on Tuesday.

Judy Padasas, the mother of 27-year-old Kristel Mae, arrived from Hong Kong at around 2 a.m.

Kristel Mae died after a scaffolding collapsed on her at the site of the papal Mass in Tacloban City last Saturday.

In his encounter with the youth last Sunday at the University of Santo Tomas, Pope Francis asked for a moment of silence to pray for the volunteer.

Pope Francis invited Kristel's father, Paulino, at the Apostolic Nunciature to have a private meeting with him.
